Continue Artful Endeavors

This page is from a collaborative book we just finished in May. It is called the Tea Tag Book.
Here are the front and back of the page I submitted.

Recent Artful Endeavors

This summer I have been spending my free time (away from baby Leeah) making art for collaborative books. This one is for a special friend. The next one to come this afternoon. Later. :O
Here is the back page of the Charm page.

Bathing Leeah- Grama and Grt Grama

Tara and I are just about able to handle Leeah taking a bath. She is so interested in all she sees that its hard to keep her focused. One picture is of her in Grama Lynn's arms in a "formula coma".

And one is of Tara teaching her to walk.

Recent Picts of the family

Here is a picture of Leeah's first solid food, Mama Annie, Leeah standing with grama Tara, Leeah singing to grama Tara, playing Easter bunny with Aunie Jadders, after bathe with Grt Grma Lynn, pretty red hat and being held by grama Tara.

Easter, Mother's Day and hospital stays...

I've been busy with life, the kids schedules and Leeah and Jade's hospital stays. Scary business.
We had to pass on Easter dinner and Mother's day due to work other schedules and on April 15th
Leeah at 5 1/2 mos. went into emergency with MRSA. (highly contagious staph infection) They did surgery immediately and kept her in the hospital for the next 5 days. Tara, Chuck, Jana, and I took round the clock turns staying with her. It was very scary. She had high fevers and constant draining and changing bandages, changing IV's. The poor little thing. The doctors and nurses were so good with her. It was hard to see her in that big hospital crib.
A week later Jade's blood sugars went crazy and she was very sick for a couple of weeks, so we took her in to emergency. She was totally dehydrated. They rehydrated her in IV's and she slept alot while we stayed and watched. )Her friend Tanisha and I) 6 1/2 hours later. Whew!!!
I'm sick of that hospital!!!
I was in such a hurry to get to the hospital with Jade that I got no pictures.

Carolin's Birthday

Linda and I took Carolin out to lunch at Coconut Kenny's Hawaiian Deli for her birthday. It was tastey indeed! We sat and solved the world's problems for 3 hours. Whew!

New Picts of Leeah

Leeah can keep her head up now and doesn't do a lot of sleeping in the middle of the day now. She loves to play and sing and try to talk when she hears or sees you talking. She will be 5 months old on the 26th of March. Since she was a month and a half early, she is suppose to be slow in some things, but I think she's doing pretty good for a little peanut. :O)

Leeah at Grama's again 3.9.09

Leeah came to see me again. She usually comes on Mondays. She gets cuter every time I see her. She has started to copy your mouth when you blow bubbles or stick your tongue out. Grampa Chuck says the bubble thing is the trick of the century. I think he's prejudice. Hmmmm?

I caught her giggling really hard out loud. I couldn't stop laughing. My jaws hurt when she goes home.

New ATC cards from trade today!

It is trading time again at Paper Zone. Now that we have 2 trades in Bellingham, I'm feeling squished for time. The trades here are great though. We have some very creative people in our groups.
I've been involved with some folks from Canada doing collaborative books and I'm doing some altered books and memory books and journals. It seems my artistic endevours are taking me to far reaching places I never thought I'd go. I do love it though. Susan, my sister in law from Kneeland, Ca is sending me her ATC book to trade at our Bellingham trades. It's fun to see what they are doing down there too.

These are outtakes of snapshots I took on an outing with my brother Layne during a July vacation in Eureka, Kneeland, CA, 2007. It is a restaurant called Go Fish Cafe.

Title: Big Fish and Horse. I know, so creative I can't stand myself!
This is a small portion of the entire building on the marina in Eureka, CA. The whole building is completely covered in this style of painting. Amazing site on the marina. Seriously outside the box!!

Daily activities

Leeah and I spend Monday and Fridays together while everyone is at work or school. I love it. It is great to be able to see her every week and see her changing and growing.
