The clouds flowing by
the moon on a frost filled night
frozen in the sky

A December moon
behind frozen cloud cover
soon to show her face

Frozen moon filled sky
Crystals in the air bite hard
must find that old coat

The blue sky beckons
The coldest sunlight in weeks
I step back inside

Solstice reminds us
of life times ever changing
and changing again

Goodies!!

We are definitely in the home stretch.
This is a label I use for my goodies each year.
I designed it 12 years ago when I had
a large garden and a medicinal herb garden.

Middle of December crunch time

My chest gets a bit tight at this time of the month in December. This year my house isn't even decorated and I'm cleaning it at the same time. (usually it's done by the 1st) I'm making lists like crazy and doing bits and pieces of artwork for gifts and our ATC trade later this month. I just got 5 packages ready to post tomorrow for my brothers and their families. I go to the store every other day or so for things I forgot. I feel discombubulated this year! I just tripped over 3 loads of wash in my living room ready to wash. B - R - E - A - T - H - E.................

This is my kitchen table getting ready to wrap. The next photo is Leeah dressed by Lily 9 years old who likes to dress Leeah in everything in her dress up box (all at the same time). I love the expression. So serious!! Love the pink heels in her tutu!! And the stethoscope is a nice touch too!! I could even use her as my little Christmas Tree!!

A new Wall

This is a new wall to my blog, but a painting I did of a garage in the snowy winter of Utah in the mid 70's. I was taking a class in watercolor from an incredible artist. He believed when you painted outside and the weather was less than perfect, you needed to become a part of it. So....one day it was snowing lightly when we got to the spot he chose for us to paint. We all got out and set up. By the time we were halfway finished the snow had turned into a near white out and our paper was covered with snowflakes.
He thought that a little bit of the weather we were painting couldn't hurt and may help our artistic endeavors. It actually did for most of us. But to be perfectly honest, it was d_ _ _  cold out there!!
I am linking this post to Cheryl's Writing on the Wall meme.

Atc for November 2011

One of the themes for this month was full moon. So... there ya go!!

Collaborative Project

Some of these birds have the back displayed and some don't. I really enjoyed this project.

Here are a number of examples of decorative birds made for a collaborative project that our ATC group did. We will trade these with all the others that were done by ten other artists this week-end.

My new hutch (and Christmas gift to myself)

Scroll a little further down the blog and you will see what use to be.......

I have been wanting to replace the wall mess in my dining room that I call my studio. So...I bought this hutch. I am quite pleased with it as it fits everything that was on the wall in its
cute little drawers and cupboards. Yea!!!

Annie and Leeah's birthdays

These are pictures from the birthday dinner. Leeah loved her little Panda stroller. Aunt Susan and Uncle Layne sent it in a big box that she couldn't wait to open.

Here is the first lick of Birthday cake. She is so dainty. See the little fingers.

Here is Annie and Leeah blowing out their candles.
This is the family. Matt, Annie, Leeah and Matthew.
Daddy Matt with his little boy.
Papa Chuck, playing with Leeah I see.
